Bolton Landing is much less hectic than Lake George Village and the kayaking area at this part of the lake is stunning and interesting. They have a nice area with picnic tables so I always see families eating lunch or having a small birthday party. The Cat trail was tougher, but much more enjoyable hike and a much better view. The completely free Bolton Live Music Festival begins at 12:00 pm in beautiful Rogers Memorial Park. It boasts beautiful gardens, basketball courts, tennis courts, you can fish off the pier and has very clean public restrooms . The concerts start at 7:00 pm. There is a bit of boat traffic since theres public docks right there, so he didnt swim too far.
